CORONAVIRUS: KASAPREKO SUSPENDS DRINK PRODUCTION, RESORTS TO HAND SANITIZERS PRODUCTION

Kasapreko Company Limited, an Indigenous Manufacturing giant and (ISO) Certified company, has responded positively to the request of H.E. President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo’s appeal for local Industries to produce hand sanitizers to curb the spread of Coronavirus disease in Ghana.


At a ground breaking production and media briefing, the Chief Executive Officer of Kasapreko Company Limited, Mr. Richard Adjei said; “The spread of Coronavirus is a national concern and as a result we have put on hold the production of drinks and focused on the production of quality, affordable Hand Sanitizers and Hand Rubbing Alcohol amid shortage of these products and price hikes.”

According to the CEO of Kasapreko Company limited, even though this will  affect their business going forward, they have taken it upon themselves to produced the sanitizers to save lives in the long run.

He also adds that the attempt is to prove that local business sectors can also contribute their quota to help stop the wide spread of COVID – 19.

Meanwhile the company advised the general public to keep to the standard protocols from the World Health Organization and the Ghana Health Service.

UCL: LIVERPOOL CRASHED OUT ON HOME SOIL

It has highly been anticipated that Anfield is the home of football comebacks but Atletico Madrid would have none of that as they rewrite the story on Tuesday night when they defeated Liverpool in style

Coronavirus: ALL SHOPS EXCEPT PHARMACIES AND FOOD OUTLETS TO BE CLOSED IN ITALY

Authorities in Italy have announced that all shops except pharmacies and food outlets be closed in response to the country’s coronavirus outbreak.

Statistics shows that 827 people have died from covid-19 in Italy while 12,462 have been infected with the virus.

In a facebook live, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte have announced that only pharmacies, food outlets and shops selling vital items will remain open to the public.

The measure comes just after the entire country has been quarantined on Tuesday with citizens not allowed to travel unless for pressing health and work reasons.

Meanwhile schools, museums, cinemas and social gatherings such as weddings, funerals and religious events are also banned from taking place.

The Italian football league have also cancelled all their matches in a bid to combat the deadly virus.

KINTAMPO-TAMALE HIGHWAY CRASH: SEVERAL PEOPLE BURNT TO ASHES

Ghana has actually started the year 2020 on a very sad note. On Tuesday, 14 January, 2020, two buses( Yutong and Hyundai) collided head-on killing at least 34 and injuring about 54 others in Dompoase on Takoradi- Cape coast high way.

The same the incident occurred on KINTAMPO-TAMALE highway on Monday dawn in the Bono-East region with many people being burnt to ashes  and several others hurting with various degrees of injuries.

According to reports, the incident occurred when a Yutong bus slipped off and crash with a mini sprinter bus with registration number AS 1801-18 and both buses catched flame in the process.

It has been confirmed that at least 30 people have got burnt beyond recognition.

“Some of the survivors are currently receiving treatment at the nearby health facilities” eyewitness can understand.

This is the second time many people have to lost their lives in such a horrific manner on the same Tamale-Kintampo high way

On Friday, March 22, 2019, some 70 passengers were reported dead  in a fatal accident on that road.

Jordan Ayew on target for Crystal Palace

NO INDISCIPLINE IN MY TEAM: CK AKONNOR

Head coach of the senior national team the black stars of Ghana CK Akonnor has cautioned the black stars players that no act of gross indiscipline will be tolerated in his team.

CK Akonnor will for the first time take up a major responsibility of preparing the black stars to take on the Sudanese national team in the Africa cup of nation qualifiers in a double header encounter.

According to the former Asante Kotoko tactician, being the best player alone does not  guarantee an automatic spot in the  national team .

“I will not tolerate any act of indiscipline in my team” Ck Akonnor said.

He added that his criteria for selection will be based on hard work,  discipline, commitment and determination.

Ghana will host Sudan on Friday March 27 before travelling to Omdurman on 31 March for the return leg and CK Akonnor is expected to start on a good note.

CK AKONNOR NAMES HIS MAIDEN CALL UPS FOR SUDAN CLASH

Head coach of the senior national team the black stars of Ghana Charles Kwabla Akonnor has made his first call ups for the double header between Ghana and Sudan on March 27 and 31 respectively.

CK Akonnor who was made head coach of the black stars after coach Akwesi Appiah has been relieved off his post, handed call ups to both foreign and locally based players.some of the old faces include Thomas Partey, Ayew brothers, Kasim Nuhu and Wakaso Mubarak.

Richards Attah ( Hearts of Oak), Kwadwo Amoako (Ashanti Gold), Habib Mohammad ( Ashanti Kotoko) and Yaya Mohammad (Aduana Stars) all formed the home- based players.

One major absentee on the list is Jonathan Mensah of Columbus Crew who was recently made the captain of the club. The defender is the first Ghanaian player to be made captain of the club.

SOGAKOFE: CALM RESTORED AFTER MURDER OF ASSEMBLYMAN

There has been a lot of tension at sogakofe following the murder of one Mr Marcus Adzhali, an assemblyman for south Sogakofe electoral area.

The assemblyman for Sogakofe South was shot dead at his residence on Sunday dawn by a group of violent men who attacked and killed the man shooting him several times.

Several of the youths were angry by the police for failing to protect life and property at the area in recent times. According the sister of the deceased, she called the police several times to come to their rescue during the attack but they responded lately after the worst has been done.

Sections of the angry crowd also lamented on how the police were only good at extorting money from drivers, some also said the police always complained of faulty guns and sometimes the guns are also without bullets.

At the moment, there has been calm at the place, the residence were advised to remain calm as the police investigate into the matter and deal with the killers accordingly.
